Visiting Wollongong’s best event venues

Wollongong's purpose built WIN Sports and Entertainment Centres (WSEC) host a wide variety of events and functions. From corporate events and major sporting fixtures to live shows, music and entertainment. The WSEC has been a longstanding favourite of local event planners, organisers and national tour operators alike.

Located in the heart of Wollongong's CBD and widely-known as the Illawarra's largest special events venue. The WSEC precinct consists of WIN Stadium, WIN Entertainment Centre and Premiers Room Function Centre. There are also three large venue foyers that can act as an excellent event breakout space, conference seating or expo stalls.

At the Eastern side of the centre, The Illawarra Brewery offers a great space for functions, food and drink, with views of Wollongong's City Beach.

WIN Entertainment Centre

Inside the main arena and auditorium, there is seating for up to 6,000 people in tiered theatre-style seating. There is space to hold a gala dinners or awards night function on round tables for roughly up to 500 people. Corporate events and conferences are commonplace, as are exhibitions, trade shows and launches.

The venue frequently plays host to large touring concerts and live shows, creating an incredible atmosphere for all. WIN Stadium

As Wollongong's flagship event venue, WIN Stadium is located on the beach overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean. A truly multi-purpose space, WIN Stadium can seat up to 22,000 people with up to 13,000 undercover. Hosting a broad mix of national and international concerts, festivals, sporting and special events.

The newer Western Grandstand has a two-tiered 6,000 seat capacity, increasing the total stadium capacity to 22,000. Making it a very unique stadium in Australia outside of a capital city. There are also a range of refreshed corporate, player, and retail catering amenities inside.

Specifically, there is increased seating capacity, improved patron access and facilities including box office, turnstiles, toilets and food and beverage areas. New broadcast media and news reporter areas. Private player training facilities. Four independent leased areas for shops or eateries, two new function rooms for game days and conferencing events and 21 new corporate suites.

Function Centre

Located inside the venues Northern Grandstand, the Premiers Room Function Centre overlooks the stadium's field and stunning City Beach.

It's possible to divide the Premiers Room into a range of flexible arrangements or seating configurations.
