Vivid Sydney: CMG to light up Martin Place and deliver GEOMETRICS display
CMG Audio Visual is excited to be making the trip to Sydney for the 2016 Vivid Festival of Light, Music and Ideas. The team will bring to life Simon Aitken's design through the help of 32 LightSky AquaBeam fixtures, creating a vibrant and engaging display with ultra-bright lighting effects and a fantastic array of colours.
Thousands of Vivid Sydney attendees will make their way through the ever-busy Martin Place, enjoying the aesthetically-pleasing visual spectacle of the CMG Audio Visual production named "Geometrics" by Simon Aitken.
Vivid Sydney is an incredibly well-known cultural event on much of the world's calendar and runs annually in June - this year from the 27th of May to the 18th of June. It celebrates all things lighting, music and culture, and is the result of new thinking and ideas from some of the best minds globally.
There are a range of unforgettable sights to see including the Cathedral of Light, which will surround the crowd with a long tunnel of mesmerising gold lights. The Museum of Contemporary Art is always a popular sight with the crowds swarming to see a range of scenes and visuals projected onto the building.
The set of AquaBeams that CMG Audio Visual will be delivering could be seen producing exceptionally bright beams throughout the night sky at a teaser event for the Cancer Council’s Stars of Wollongong Dance for Cancer Event held on Friday the 20th of May. The AquaBeams emit an incredible light that is unmissable, and are some of the most robust lighting fixtures available on the highly-competitive market - resistant to all weather types giving them a strong and reliable presence.
In fact, Ola Melzig (Technical Show Director of Eurovision) had this to say about the TLC Global Fixture: "AquaBeam has proven to be very versatile. Thanks to it’s extreme punchy beam in combination with a very nice frost; and it has the lowest failure rate compared to all the different fixture types we have within the production.
